Assam down town University successfully organized an insightful workshop on Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis under the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science.
The inaugural session commenced with the introduction of the esteemed Resource Person, Dr. Krishna Undela, Assistant Professor, NIPER Guwahati, by Dr. Rinchi Bora, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, followed by a felicitation ceremony honoring Dr. Undela.
Prof. Dr. Saikat Sen Sen, Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the rising significance of systematic reviews and meta-analysis in evidence-based research and their influence on informed decision-making in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and beyond.
This was followed by an inspiring address by Prof. (Dr.) Ananta Choudhury, Director, IQAC, AdtU, who emphasized the interdisciplinary applications of systematic reviews and meta-analysis across various scientific domains. He commended the organizing team for conducting a workshop that would significantly benefit Ph.D. research scholars and final-year postgraduate students.
The technical session began with Dr. Krishna Undela providing a comprehensive introduction to systematic reviews and meta-analysis, laying a solid foundation for the day’s proceedings. The workshop progressed with detailed PowerPoint presentations and interactive, hands-on sessions using relevant software tools. The engaging nature of the session was evident during the question-and-answer segment, where both postgraduate students and Ph.D. scholars posed insightful queries that were addressed effectively by Dr. Undela.
The event concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Manish Kumar Gautam, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, who acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the resource person, faculty, organizers, and enthusiastic participants. Certificates were distributed to all attendees, marking the successful completion of the workshop.
