Assam down town University successfully organised IDEASTORM 2025, a three-day ideathon designed to ignite innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among first-year students. The program was spearheaded by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) under the Directorate of Innovation, Startup & Acceleration (DISA). With participation from 42 enthusiastic teams, the event provided a dynamic platform for young students to identify real-life problems, pitch impactful solutions, and gain early exposure to the startup ecosystem and university-level funding opportunities.
Throughout the sessions, students presented a wide range of innovative ideas addressing challenges in healthcare, sustainability, waste management, digital services, agriculture, and smart technologies. The judging panel evaluated pitches on innovation, feasibility, impact, and presentation clarity, while offering valuable guidance to help participants refine their concepts. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony on 04 December 2025, where the top three teams Sheintech, Nutribox and Eyelixir were awarded prizes worth Rs.15,000 along with certificates of achievement.
IDEASTORM 2025 successfully cultivated creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset among first-year students. It strengthened the culture of innovation on campus, encouraged deeper engagement with DISA and E-Cell initiatives, and inspired students to continue exploring startup development programs in the future.
