Idea Pitch Presentation was organized by the Faculty of Science in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Assam down town University (AdtU) with the objective of fostering innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.

The competition brought together 13 teams from the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and Engineering programmes, who presented their innovative ideas before an expert jury. The teams showcased the problems they aimed to address, proposed solutions, and the novelty, feasibility, scalability, and potential impact of their concepts, followed by an engaging question-and-answer session.

The ideas were evaluated by Mr. Subhas Bhattacharjee, Advisor to Patanjali Foods Ltd., Guwahati, and Dr. Manash J Borah, Additional Dean, Faculty of Engineering, who also offered valuable feedback to help students refine and strengthen their concepts. The first, second, and third prize winners received cash prizes of Rs.10,000 along with certificates of achievement, while all participating teams were presented with certificates of participation.

Coordinated by Dr. Jasmin Islam, IIC Member, and Dr. Daisy Sharma, IIC Coordinator, Faculty of Science, IDEATHON 2026 provided students with a valuable platform to transform ideas into possibilities, gain insights from experts, and build confidence in presenting their concepts.
