




As part of the International Conference on “Science, Technology, Innovation and Policy for Global Health and Sustainability” (ICSTIP 2025), a technical session under Theme 2: Microbiome, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Public Health Challenges was conducted. The session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Robin Gogoi, OSD, Faculty of Science, Assam down town University, and co-chaired by Dr. Fazlollah Keshavarzi, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Clinical Pharmacy, UCSI, Malaysia. The session was efficiently coordinated by student coordinators Ayush Bhattacharjee, Poonam Kalita, and Bhumisnata Das, with Dr. Gunamoni Das, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science, Assam down town University, serving as the rapporteur.
The session featured insightful deliberations on emerging research in microbiome studies and their applications in human, plant, and environmental health.
Prof. (Dr.) Robin Gogoi delivered a compelling talk on “Rhizospheric mycobiome utilization in the management of banded leaf & sheath blight disease of maize,” emphasizing the role of beneficial fungal communities in sustainable crop disease management.
Dr. Fazlollah Keshavarzi presented “An Overview of COVID-19 Vaccination in Malaysia,” discussing national immunization strategies and their impact on public health resilience.
The session fostered meaningful discussions, bridging perspectives from agricultural science, microbiology, and public health contributing to the broader goals of sustainability and global health innovation.
