Assam down town University proudly hosted IBM Technovate-2025, a flagship two-day event held on April 10th and 11th, centered around the theme “Industry Graded Session by Tech Experts.” Aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry demands, the event brought together expert talks, interactive workshops, competitions, and student-led project exhibitions, creating a vibrant platform for innovation and experiential learning.

The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony on April 10th, graced by university dignitaries and student representatives. Led by Prof. N.C. Talukdar, Vice-Chancellor of AdtU, and coordinated by Dr. Aniruddha Deka and team, the inauguration set an inspiring tone for the sessions ahead. The first activity, Mind Spot Quiz Round 1, tested students’ aptitude, analytical, and reasoning abilities. This was followed by hands-on technical sessions on key emerging topics such as Data Visualization, Foundations of Data Science, and Generative AI, encouraging students to explore practical applications of technology using real-world tools. Later in the day, 30 shortlisted student teams participated in Student Project Presentations, where they showcased innovative solutions and demonstrated technical problem-solving skills. 

Day 2 featured in-depth workshops, including the Enterprise Design Thinking session for management students, promoting empathy-driven innovation through user-centric tools and creative collaboration. Parallel technical workshops introduced participants to cutting-edge domains like AI Chatbot Development using IBM Watson and Machine Learning Model Building, guided by experienced professionals.

A key attraction on the second day was the Mind Spot Quiz Finals, a high-energy contest that brought out the best of the students' knowledge and quick thinking. The event concluded with a grand closing ceremony and prize distribution, honoring the creativity, passion, and dedication of all participants.

Technovate-2025 was enriched by the presence of esteemed IBM experts, Mr. Rahul Batra, Mr. Aman Bakshi, and Mr. Gaurav Singh, who significantly elevated the event by sharing valuable insights on cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and data science.

With seamless organization, high-impact sessions, and enthusiastic engagement from all stakeholders, Technovate-2025 emerged as a grand success, reinforcing Assam down town University’s vision of nurturing innovation, hands-on learning, and industry-readiness among its students.
