Hygiene and Sanitation Awareness Program Promotes Healthy Habits Among School Students

Assam down town University, through the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, organised an Awareness Program on Hygiene and Sanitation as part of its Outreach and Extension Activities at Bonda Anchalik High School.

The program focused on educating school children about the importance of personal hygiene, proper handwashing, safe drinking water, sanitation, and maintaining cleanliness in their daily lives. The session highlighted how simple and consistent hygiene practices can help prevent common infections and promote better overall health.

To make the program engaging and informative, interactive discussions, quizzes, and practical demonstrations were conducted, encouraging students to actively participate and develop healthy daily habits.

The program was successfully conducted with the support and guidance of Dr. Daisy Sharma, along with the active participation and teamwork of BPT 5th Semester students from the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. 

The initiative contributed to promoting health awareness and encouraging young learners to adopt responsible hygiene and sanitation practices.
