Assam down town University proudly hosted a heartfelt farewell ceremony for the senior-most batch of NCC cadets, representing both the 50 Assam Air Squadron (Fly), NCC and 60 Assam Girls Battalion, NCC, Guwahati. These cadets had successfully appeared for the prestigious ‘C’ Certificate Examination, marking the culmination of their dedicated journey in the National Cadet Corps.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) N. C. Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of AdtU, and Dr. Nitul Jyoti Das, Deputy Registrar (Academic), who commended the cadets for their commitment, discipline, and exemplary service. The Vice Chancellor’s words of encouragement inspired the junior cadets to uphold the proud legacy set by their seniors.
The farewell celebration was a blend of emotions and camaraderie, beginning with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, followed by vibrant cultural performances by the juniors as a tribute to their seniors. As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to the outgoing cadets, honoring their dedication and contributions to the NCC.
The event was meticulously organized under the supervision of Dr. Santa Mandal, CTO, and Lt. (Dr.) Sangita Boro, ANO, ensuring a memorable and seamless farewell. The evening was filled with nostalgia, pride, and inspiration, marking the beginning of a new journey for the cadets as they step into the future with the values instilled in them through NCC.
