Assam down town University, through the Directorate of Career Advancement, successfully organised a Guest Lecture on “Professional Grooming & Work Etiquette”. 

The session was delivered by Ms. Junumani Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Centre-EASES, AdtU, who provided students with practical insights into effective communication, professional conduct and workplace etiquette. The session covered essential aspects of professional communication, including email writing, appropriate tone and language, email structure and etiquette, clarity, conciseness and effective workplace interaction. 

Students were also guided on creating effective subject lines, using professional greetings and closings, keeping communication purposeful, proofreading emails and responding appropriately to workplace correspondence through practical examples and real-world situations. 

The insights shared helped students understand how strong communication and professional etiquette can enhance professional credibility, employability, workplace effectiveness and career growth, preparing them to transition confidently into the professional world.
