Assam down town University successfully hosted the Freshers Talent Hunt 2026, organised by The Dorian and Bandish Music Club, exclusively for the university’s first-year students.

The vibrant singing and instrumental competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 68 talented students, who impressed the audience with their versatility, creativity, and musical skills across diverse languages and genres. The event was judged by Mr. Bikiran Sarma, Dr. Radali Duarah, and Mr. Dishanta Choudhury, whose valuable insights encouraged the young performers. 

Tanmay Das (BCA – IBM) secured the 1st position, followed by Pretty Nongbrum (B.Sc. Forensic Science) in 2nd and Kaustav Das (B.Sc. Forensic Science) in 3rd, while Priyakshi Devi, Neeraj Terang, and Dhritiman Kashyap received the Judges’ Special Mentions.

The event was coordinated by faculty members Ms. Namrata Das and Mrs. Anindita Das, along with the student executives, Dorian and Bandish Music Club, whose collective efforts contributed to the successful execution of the event.

The winners were felicitated with cash prizes, mementos, and certificates, celebrating a wonderful showcase of music, creativity, confidence, and the diverse talents of AdtU’s freshers, bringing out their talent, owning the stage, and shining bright!
