



Assam down town University organized an academic industrial visit for the students of the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics (FND) programme to Bajwi Food Products, offering them valuable exposure to food processing and entrepreneurship. During the visit, students explored the production processes of mushroom-based products and traditional pickles, gaining hands-on insights into raw material handling, hygienic practices, quality control, and small-scale food manufacturing techniques.
The visit was effectively coordinated by Dr. Jasmin Islam and Dr. Yashmin Nongrum, ensuring smooth execution and a highly impactful learning experience.Their interaction with the enterprise team, led by entrepreneur Mrs. Tulika Gogoi Swargiary, enriched their understanding of product development, market challenges, and emerging opportunities within the local agro-food sector. This experience significantly strengthened the students’ practical knowledge and industry-oriented competencies.
