Faculty of Nursing hosts vibrant Bihu celebration showcasing Assamese culture, unity, and student talent

Assam down town University celebrated the vibrant festival of Bihu with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit through the Faculty of Nursing and Sankar Madhab School of Nursing on the university premises.

The event was held with the aim of promoting traditional values, fostering unity, and providing students a platform to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Assam. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by a faculty member, highlighting the significance of Bihu as a festival of joy, harvest, and togetherness. The venue was beautifully adorned with traditional Assamese elements like gamocha, jaapi, and floral decorations, creating a lively festive ambiance. Students actively participated in various cultural performances including traditional Bihu dance, group songs, and folk presentations, while the rhythmic beats of dhol, pepa, and taal added energy and charm to the celebration. A traditional jolpan was also displayed and served among students and faculty members, encouraging bonding and cultural exchange. 

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizing team, faculty members, SNA members, and students. Overall, the celebration stood as a memorable occasion filled with joy, cultural pride, and a strong sense of togetherness.
