




Assam down town University, through its Faculty of Nursing, successfully organised an impactful awareness program on organ donation.
The session was conducted by Ms. Subasana Baruah, Field Coordinator, along with Ms. Diksha Kashyap, Project Coordinator and Office Head, with the aim of creating awareness among students and faculty about the importance of organ donation. With 165 participants in attendance, the program focused on deceased organ donation, highlighting its crucial role in saving multiple lives and addressing the gap between organ demand and availability. The resource persons delivered insightful sessions, clearing common misconceptions and encouraging a positive outlook towards this noble cause.
The program was graced by the presence of Prof (Dr)Manashi Sengupta, Dean, and Prof. (Dr.) Nirmali Gogoi (Ph.D), Associate Dean, FRIC, Faculty of Nursing. The session concluded on an inspiring note, motivating participants to become advocates of organ donation and contribute towards building a more compassionate and aware society.
