Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Assam down town University (AdtU) organized an inspiring orientation session titled "Rhythm of Learning: Music, Creativity and Success"
Specially curated for the incoming entrant batches, the event featured acclaimed musician and National Award-winning composer Ms. Tarali Sarma as the keynote speaker. The session aimed to help new students navigate their upcoming academic journey by exploring the deep connection between artistic expression, intellectual curiosity, and holistic personal growth.
During her address, Ms. Sarma made the students aware of the various everyday sounds surrounding us, illustrating how each carries its own distinct rhythm. She explained that developing a heightened awareness of these ambient rhythms sharpens everyday focus and mindfulness, which in turn serves as a fundamental building block for academic and personal success. Encouraging the audience to look beyond rigid standards of achievement, she urged them to embrace their unique pace and harness creative thinking when tackling complex challenges. The session concluded on an uplifting note, leaving the new cohort motivated and equipped with a refreshed perspective on learning.
