The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology organized an exposure visit to the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences under Central Agricultural University.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to biofertilizer and biopesticide production techniques, while also familiarizing them with advanced laboratory facilities and institutional functioning.
Students gained hands-on insights into the production processes of biofertilizers such as Rhizobium, Azotobacter, and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, along with biopesticides developed using beneficial microorganisms like Trichoderma and Bacillus thuringiensis.
The students also visited well-equipped laboratories where they learned about microbial culture techniques, sterilization procedures, and laboratory safety practices. A guided campus tour further introduced them to the institution’s academic environment, research initiatives, and infrastructure.
The exposure visit effectively bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, enriching students’ understanding of sustainable agriculture and inspiring them to adopt eco-friendly farming practices.
