




Assam down town University, through the Faculty of Computer Applications (FoCT) in collaboration with the Directorate of Career Advancement (DoCA), successfully organized an expert session titled “From Classroom to Career – Soft Skills That Make a Difference.”
The program was convened by Ms. Namrata Das and aimed at guiding students on the importance of soft skills in shaping their professional journeys. The session featured Shri Mukesh Agrawal IPS(Retd.) (Retd.), as the resource person, whose insightful sharing of real-life experiences made discussions on communication, leadership, empathy, and other essential soft skills highly relatable and impactful for the students.
The session witnessed active participation from around 85 students from the BCA and B.Tech batches, who engaged enthusiastically through questions and interactions, making the discussion lively and meaningful. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Aniruddha Deka, Dean In-charge, FoCT; Dr. Debashis Misra, Associate Dean, FoCT; Dr. Rimjhim Baruah, Director (i/c), DoCA; Mrs. Varsha Patwari, Assistant General Manager, DoCA; along with other faculty members.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Namrata Das, expressing gratitude to the speaker and all participants. Overall, the session proved to be an enriching and insightful experience for both students and faculty members.
