Assam down town University, through its Faculty of Engineering, organised a series of meaningful outreach and awareness activities at Hajongbari L.P. School, Chandrapur, promoting scientific curiosity, digital awareness and environmental responsibility among school students.

The program included a Space Science Awareness Program and Quiz, encouraging young learners to explore the wonders of space; a Safety Awareness Programme Against Online Frauds, promoting safe and responsible digital practices; and an Air Pollution Awareness Programme with a Poster (Art) Competition, providing students with a creative platform to understand environmental challenges and express their ideas through art.

Students from the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering programmes actively participated in the initiatives, interacting with school students and connecting their engineering education with real-world social and community concerns.

Led by Dr. Swagata Devi and Dr. Biswajyoti Das, Faculty of Engineering, the outreach activities reflected Assam down town University’s continued commitment to community engagement, experiential learning, STEM awareness, environmental consciousness and social responsibility.

Through initiatives like these, the University continues to inspire young minds, encourage scientific thinking and contribute towards building a more aware and responsible society.
