









Assam down town University successfully organized the vibrant Ecclectic Cookathon, an inter-college food competition held as part of Ecclesia 3.0, celebrating a unique blend of tradition and culinary creativity.
Centered around the theme “Traditional Recipes,” the event brought together 14 enthusiastic participants who showcased the depth, heritage, and cultural narratives embedded in regional cuisines. Coordinated by Dr. Jasmin Islam, Dr. Daisy Sharma, and Dr.Bhola Chourasia, the competition featured an array of dishes inspired by age-old family traditions and forgotten local delicacies, each prepared with authenticity, technical skill, and heartfelt nostalgia.
The event was enriched by the presence of esteemed judges, Palash Borah, Entrepreneur & Founder of Jetukaa Assamese Kitchen; Nikumani Nath, Chef & Content Creator; and FoodHunters, Content Creator & Food Blogger, who evaluated the dishes with expertise and enthusiasm. Cash prizes worth Rs. 20,000 were awarded to the winners in recognition of their outstanding culinary artistry.
