Drug Awareness Session Empowers Students to Build a Healthier and Substance-Free Society

Date- 10th Sep 2026

Assam down town University, in collaboration with the Health Vertical of Young Indians (YI), Guwahati, organised a Drug Awareness Session to sensitise students about drug abuse, its impact, prevention, and the important role young people can play in building a healthier society.

The session was led by Dr. Kritika Agarwala, Doctor and Psychologist, Apollo Excel Care, and featured an engaging open-mic interaction that encouraged students to openly discuss and reflect on the issue.

A short drug-awareness skit by the AdtU Club further brought the message to life, followed by a Drug Awareness Pledge and Pledge Wall, where students came together to make a conscious commitment towards a healthier and substance-free society.
