Assam down town University, through the Outreach Committee, Allied and Healthcare Sciences, successfully conducted a Drug Abuse Awareness Program at Bonda Anchalik High School with the aim of educating students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting awareness, prevention, and healthy choices. 

The program was led by Ms. Ritu Choudhury and Dr. Rajib Mandal, with Dr. Debasis Bora serving as the resource person. A total of 64 participants, including 51 school students and 13 student volunteers, attended the program. 

The session covered important aspects of drug abuse awareness and different types of drugs, helping students understand the physical, psychological, and social consequences associated with substance abuse. Through an interactive and engaging session, students were encouraged to understand the risks of substance use and the importance of making informed and healthy decisions. 

The program also highlighted the crucial role of awareness, education, family support, and responsible peer relationships in preventing drug abuse and fostering healthier choices among young people.
