Assam down town University takes immense pride in celebrating the achievements of Dr. Manash Pratim Pathak, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, who has been honored with the prestigious ‘Young Pharmaceutical Research Excellence Award for the Year 2023-2024’ by the Association of Registered Pharmacists, Assam (ARPA).

This esteemed recognition highlights Dr. Pathak’s contributions to pharmaceutical education and research, particularly his extensive work on obesity and related comorbidities. With over 50 research publications in renowned international journals, accumulating an impressive impact factor of 130+, his research has significantly influenced the field. His scholarly impact is reflected in his h-index of 13 and i10-index of 18, with more than 708 citations.

Dr. Pathak’s dedication to research extends beyond publications, as he has successfully secured over 14.5 lakhs through three seed money grants from Assam down town University and an ICMR grant of 51.28 lakhs for his groundbreaking study on obesity-associated MASLD. His excellence has been consistently recognized with multiple accolades, including the "Best Researcher" award for three consecutive terms and the "Faculty of the Month" award from Assam down town University. On a national and international scale, he has earned distinctions such as the CSIR Foreign Travel Grant (CSIR, GoI), UGC Postgraduate Scholarship and Doctoral Fellowship (UGC, GoI), and international honors like the Congress Bursary at the World Congress for Pharmacology 2018 (Kyoto, Japan) and Research Fellowship at INTI University, Malaysia.
