Assam down town University, on the occasion of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s birth anniversary, organized a special Naokhel workshop for its students under the guidance of the esteemed artist, Sri Nakul Das. 

The workshop served as a meaningful tribute to the legendary bard of the Brahmaputra, whose works continue to inspire generations through their deep cultural values. By introducing students to Naokhel, a traditional art form rooted in Assam’s rich heritage, the session provided an immersive platform to experience, learn, and appreciate indigenous practices that are integral to the state’s identity. 

The initiative paid homage to Dr. Hazarika’s enduring legacy, also reflected the University’s commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Assam, while fostering creativity and awareness among its students.
