Assam down town University, through its Outreach and Extension Activities in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, successfully conducted three engaging programs at Paschim Mayong High School with the active participation of students from Classes IX and X. 

The initiatives included a Disaster Relief and Response Awareness Camp, introducing students to disaster preparedness and essential emergency kits; a Workshop on Food Waste Reduction and Sustainable Food Consumption, featuring a street play to raise awareness about food wastage; and She Can STEM – Promoting Girls’ Education in STEM, where students explored science through hands-on experiments using the She Can Kit. 

The programs encouraged practical learning, safety awareness, sustainable practices, and greater interest in STEM education among young learners.
