The Directorate of Career Advancement at AdtU, under the leadership of Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah, has launched an empowering initiative: the "Placed & Proud – Success Stories Unfolded Series." This program is designed to motivate students by showcasing successful alumni who have achieved career excellence.

The first session of the series featured Mr. Abhinandan Dutta Barthakur, a Placed & Proud student from the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (Batch 2019–23), on the theme “Pursuing Global Dreams: My Pathway from AdtU to Surrey” on 24th October 2025

Currently working as an Operator at ITH Pharma, London, Abhinandan shared his inspiring journey from AdtU to the global stage. He also completed his Master’s in Pharmaceutical Science with Industrial Placement from the University of Surrey, under the guidance and support of Directorate of Career Advancement and is now a Registered Pharmacist.

During the session, Abhinandan motivated students by sharing the story of his choices how stepping out of his comfort zone shaped his path to success. He emphasized the importance of career focus, discipline, and the courage to avoid distractions in the pursuit of one’s dreams. He urged students to push themselves beyond limits, remain polite and respectful toward teachers and seniors, and to constantly learn from every opportunity that comes their way.
