Assam down town University conducted an Outreach and Extension Program on Cyber Security Awareness under the aegis of the Outreach and Extension Committee, in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Technology. 

The program, held at Swahid Kushal Konwar Higher Secondary School, was spearheaded by Ms. Eirene Barua, Assistant Professor, FoCT, who delivered the inaugural address and served as the resource person.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from 74 faculty members and students, with Class VI school students actively engaging in interactive discussions on key cyber security concerns. The program highlighted critical topics such as understanding cyber threats, identifying phishing and scam attempts, adopting strong password and authentication practices, safeguarding data privacy, and recognizing the role of individuals in ensuring cyber safety. 

The interactive question-and-answer session further strengthened awareness, underscoring human vigilance as the most effective defense against ever-evolving cyber threats.
