Assam down town University, through its Directorate of Career Advancement, successfully hosted the "Corporate Meetup – Kolkata Chapter" on 20th June 2026 at Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening industry-academia partnerships and fostering meaningful collaboration with leading corporate organizations.

The event witnessed the participation of over 65 distinguished corporate leaders and industry professionals, providing an excellent platform for insightful discussions on industry trends, workforce expectations, and future opportunities. 

The program was led by Dr. Rimjhim Baruah, Director (i/c), Directorate of Career Advancement, with the support of Ms. Varsha Patwari, Assistant General Manager, Mr. Abhinov Rajkhowa (Assistant Manager), and Mr. Dhanraj Basumatary (Placement Officer).

Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah welcomed the gathering with an overview of the University's vision, multidisciplinary academic excellence, and commitment to nurturing industry-ready graduates, followed by a presentation by Ms. Varsha Patwari highlighting the University's achievements, placement success stories, and initiatives to enhance student employability. 

An engaging interactive session enabled corporate leaders to share valuable insights and recommendations for aligning academic curricula with evolving industry needs, opening new avenues for placements, internships, and skill development. 

The event concluded with the felicitation of the esteemed guests, followed by a networking lunch that encouraged meaningful interactions and laid the foundation for future collaborations, further strengthening Assam down town University's industry connect and expanding career opportunities for its students.
