Constitution Day Marked with Collective Preamble Reading and Student Participation in National Quiz

Assam down town University observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) on 26th November with deep reverence, honouring India’s democratic ethos. 

The event commemorated the historic adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949 and underscored the enduring significance of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The program commenced with a solemn collective reading of the Preamble by faculty members and students, serving as a powerful reaffirmation of the constitutional ideals that guide the nation and shape the responsibilities of every citizen. Students also actively participated in an online quiz and successfully received certificates issued by the Government of India.

The event brought together the AdtU community to pay tribute to the architects of the Constitution, particularly Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, and to renew their commitment to upholding democratic values. The observance highlighted the vital role of educational institutions in fostering constitutional awareness and inspiring informed and responsible citizenship.
