"Threads of Tradition: Understanding Culture through Stories" 

Centre for Language Proficiency and Professional Development (CLPPD) successfully organized a stimulating workshop titled "Threads of Tradition: Understanding Culture through Stories" on October 24, 2025. 

The event was highlighted by the insightful address from the distinguished speaker, Dr. Lakshminath Rabha, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Debraj Roy College, Golaghat, Assam. Adding to the prestige of the occasion, the workshop was graced by the presence of the Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chancellor and the Director of IQAC. The day was structured into three highly engaging sessions: it began with a focus on the basics of communication, followed by an in-depth session on the art and importance of storytelling, and concluded with an interactive questionnaire activity where students actively penned down their responses. The students participated with great enthusiasm throughout the workshop, successfully gaining valuable insights and discovering new ways to appreciate culture and its diverse dimensions through the power of narrative.
