Assam down town University’s Centre for Language Proficiency and Professional Development (CLPDD), organised a workshop titled “Standard Pronunciation Training”, aimed at enhancing spoken English proficiency among students. The session was led by the distinguished speaker Dr Mridusmita Mahanta, Associate Professor of English, Sonapur College (Autonomous), Assam, and was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor.

The workshop was conducted in three highly interactive sessions, focusing on the importance of correct pronunciation, clear articulation, and effective spoken communication. Special emphasis was placed on the accurate pronunciation of various medical terms, ensuring students from healthcare backgrounds benefit directly in their academic and professional communication.

With active participation and enthusiasm, students learned different types of pronunciation techniques and gained valuable insights into refining their English-speaking skills. The workshop concluded on a highly positive note, leaving participants better equipped and more confident in their communication abilities.
