Assam down town University participated in the National Seminar on “Sensitizing Hill Area Development Engineering through Indian Standards” organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in association with IIT Guwahati at the Conference Centre, IIT Guwahati along with Dr. Pranamee Baruah and Krishna Das, Assistant Professors from the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, along with nine Civil Engineering students, 

The seminar offered valuable insights into critical areas including hill area development engineering, landslide investigation and slope stability, hazard management techniques, instrumental slope monitoring, and strategic case studies on ground sinking and slope failures.

This enriching academic engagement provided our faculty members and students with an opportunity to interact with experts, gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges, and deepen their understanding of sustainable and resilient infrastructure development in hilly terrains.
