Assam down town University successfully celebrated Central Freshers 2025, marking the grand conclusion of an eventful orientation week filled with laughter, bonding, and memories. 

The occasion was graced by Mr. Umesh Kumar, IPS (Retd.), served with distinction as the Director General of Police (DGP), Assam, after holding key positions as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Eastern Range at Jorhat and Inspector General (IG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and various Public Sector Undertakings, including the Department of Space, Government of India., whose inspiring address encouraged students to embrace change and growth in their academic journey. Adding to the grandeur, the presence of Prof. (Dr.) N.C. Talukdar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Assam down town University, further enriched the occasion with his vision and guidance.

The celebration also included the felicitation of winners from the various competitions organized throughout the week, adding to the spirit of joy and accomplishment.
