The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Assam down town University, in collaboration with the Outreach and Extension Committee, successfully organized an Awareness Camp on Career Counselling at Narengi Anchalik Higher Secondary School. The program was coordinated by Dr. Dr. Shyam Choudhury from the Department of Sociology and Ms. Anjeem Ahmed, Career Counsellor, Directorate of Career Advancement, with enthusiastic participation from students of BAHO 2nd Semester, Sociology 4th Semester, Psychology 2nd Semester, M.A. Sociology, and M.A. Social Work.

The awareness camp aimed to inspire and guide students on higher education opportunities, career planning, skill enhancement, personality development, and future professional prospects. The session also highlighted various professional courses, competitive examinations, and employment opportunities across diverse sectors. 

More than 70 participants attended the program and actively engaged in the interactive counselling sessions. Through discussions, motivational guidance, and career-oriented activities, students were encouraged to explore their interests, recognize their abilities, and set meaningful future goals. 
The initiative not only enhanced educational awareness and student motivation but also provided valuable field exposure to university students, enabling them to strengthen their communication skills, leadership abilities, sense of social responsibility, and community engagement through outreach activities.
