Assam down town University’s Directorate of Career Advancement successfully organized an insightful and engaging session titled “Connect to Care: Mastering Soft Skills in Healthcare” aimed at strengthening students’ interpersonal competencies and professional readiness in the healthcare sector.

The session commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation of the speaker by Varsha Patwari, Assistant General Manager, Directorate of Career Advancement, and Anjeem Ahmed, Officer – Career Counselling, Directorate of Career Advancement, creating an encouraging and interactive learning environment for the participants.

The session was delivered by Pine Bharali, Director of North East Institute of Skill Development and Soft Skill cum CBT Mentor, who shared valuable insights on the significance of soft skills in delivering effective and compassionate healthcare services. Drawing from his extensive experience in skill development and mentoring, he emphasized essential areas such as communication skills, empathy, teamwork, adaptability, emotional intelligence, professional ethics, and patient-centered behavior, which are crucial for success in healthcare environments.

The session greatly enhanced their understanding of the role of soft skills in healthcare settings and inspired them to develop a compassionate, confident, and professional approach towards their future careers in the healthcare industry.
