Assam down town University proudly celebrates the achievement of Cadet Under Officer Maitrayee Bhuyan from AdtU 50 Assam Air Squadron (Flying), NCC, who has been recognised as the Best Senior Wing (SW) Cadet in Assam at the NCC NER Annual Awards 2025–26 by the NCC Directorate, North Eastern Region. She received this prestigious honour from the Deputy Director General (DDG) at Shillong on 5th May 2026.

Adding to this proud moment, she was also part of the contingent that secured the Best Group Award in the entire North Eastern Region, marking a historic achievement for the university. Her journey reflects exceptional dedication, discipline, leadership, and consistent excellence in the field of NCC.

Earlier, as a Cadet Sergeant, Maitrayee Bhuyan was selected for the prestigious Republic Day Camp in New Delhi, where she actively participated in major events including the Prime Minister’s Rally, Flag Area activities, and the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) Sponsorship Interview. She also served as the Master of Ceremonies during the CAS visit and was honoured with the DG Commendation Card and NER ADG Commendation Card for her outstanding contributions.

Her achievements bring immense pride to Assam down town University and stand as an inspiration for aspiring cadets and students to pursue excellence with determination and commitment.
