An insightful industrial visit to Amul Dairy, Tatimara, Chandrapur, offered B.Sc. 1st semester Biotechnology students from the Faculty of Science a unique opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications. The visit included an introduction to Amul’s cooperative model, a tour of its advanced production facilities, and an engaging Q&A session. Students explored milk processing, butter and sweet dahi production, quality assurance, and sustainable practices while gaining valuable insights into supply chain management and the socio-economic impact of the dairy industry. Accompanied by Dr. Nayan Talukdar, M Sc. Ph.D. and Dr. Surjya Loying, PhD, this experience emphasized Amul’s pivotal role in India’s White Revolution and large-scale dairy operations.
