Assam down town University proudly organized the B.Des 4th Semester Jury Presentation for the Department of Fashion & Textile Design under the Faculty of Engineering, celebrating the creativity, craftsmanship, and innovative learning journey of the students. The department was honoured to welcome external jury member Julee Borpujari Deuri, a distinguished industry expert with over 16 years of experience in the field of fashion and textile design.

The jury presentation showcased the students’ dedication, technical expertise, and artistic expression through a range of subjects including Fabric Studies, where students explored the basics of hand embroidery and fabric manipulation techniques; Advanced Fashion Illustration, focusing on creative fashion rendering and visual presentation development; and Weaving, introducing students to fundamental weaving techniques and weave structures.

The evaluation aimed to assess students on their technical understanding, creativity, design thinking, and application-based learning, while also providing them with valuable industry insights and professional guidance.

The program was coordinated by Shivani Goswami, Assistant Professor (Design), whose guidance and mentorship played an important role in encouraging students to present their ideas with confidence and innovation.
