Astronomy and Space Technology Club (ASTEC), Assam down town University, successfully organised an Introduction to Astronomy and Club Orientation Session, followed by a Moon Observation Programme at the J Block Terrace, AdtU, Guwahati.

The session introduced students to the fundamentals of astronomy while providing an overview of ASTEC’s vision, activities and opportunities for exploration and learning. The programme concluded with a telescope-based observation of the Moon, allowing participants to closely observe its craters and distinctive surface features.

The event offered students an opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation for astronomy and engage with the wonders of the night sky beyond the classroom.
