Assam down town University observes Black Day to honor Pulwama attack martyrs

Assam down town University solemnly observed Black Day on February 14th to honor the memory of the brave martyrs of the Pulwama Attack. 

The event was a tribute to their supreme sacrifice for the nation, reinforcing a sense of patriotism and gratitude within the university community.

The commemoration was graced by the esteemed presence of Junior Warrant Officer VP Singh and Sergeant Imtiaz Ali, who paid homage to the fallen soldiers. Cadets from the 50 Assam Air (Sqn) Fly and 60 Assam Girls Battalion, NCC actively participated, showcasing their deep respect and commitment to national service. The Pro-Vice Chancellor also joined in paying heartfelt tributes, further emphasizing the significance of the occasion. Additionally, students from the Drishyam Drama Club paid homage through a drama performance, further enriching the solemn tribute.

Thoughtfully organized under the leadership of 50 Assam Air Sqn (Fly) and CTO Santa Mandal and ANO Lt. Dr. Sangita Boro, the event was a solemn yet impactful reminder of the sacrifices made by the nation's defenders. By coming together in remembrance, the university reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the values of patriotism, service, and national unity.
