






Assam down town University successfully hosted the annual AdtU Alumni Meet, Guwahati Chapter 4.0, organized by the AdtU Alumni Association.
The event commenced with a warm and heartfelt welcome address by Dr. Samannoy Baruah, Director, Directorate of Alumni Affairs, who expressed sincere appreciation for the alumni community and highlighted the value of staying connected with one’s alma mater.
The occasion was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. N. C. Talukdar, and the Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Pranveer Singh PhD-IITK FIE FSED Singh, along with esteemed faculty members of the university. In his address, the Vice Chancellor underscored the importance of active alumni engagement in fostering the growth and development of the university as well as contributing positively to society. The Pro Vice Chancellor also expressed his delight over the formation of various Alumni Chapters under the AdtU Alumni Association and encouraged alumni to play a meaningful role in nation-building.
The meet was further enlivened by a lively cultural performance presented by current students and alumni, creating an atmosphere of joy and nostalgia. A special video showcasing memorable moments from past university events and activities was screened, evoking smiles and fond memories among attendees. Several alumni also shared their personal journeys, experiences, and cherished memories, reflecting on how their alma mater played a significant role in shaping their careers and personalities, while expressing heartfelt gratitude for the university’s guidance and support.
The event concluded on a warm and appreciative note with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Nayan Talukdar, M Sc. Ph.D., Associate Director, Directorate of Alumni Affairs, bringing an end to a memorable and meaningful reunion.
