Assam down town University hosted a collaborative orientation with IBM for its BCA, MCA, B.Tech CSE, and BBA programmes, bringing together students, faculty, and dignitaries from IBM.

The event featured key speakers from IBM, who shared valuable insights into Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Cloud Computing, and details of the new collaborative educational programmes. Dr Barenya Bikash Hazarika Hazarika, Program Coordinator for B.Tech CSE (IBM), opened the session with a warm welcome, highlighting the importance of this partnership. Dr.Bidyut Bikash Das, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, delivered an insightful inaugural speech that emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary learning in business and technology. Dr. Utpal Barman, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Technology, discussed the strategic partnership with IBM and its potential to enhance academic offerings. Mr. Aman Bakshi from IBM delivered an engaging keynote on AI and ML, elaborating on the capabilities of IBM Watson as a powerful tool for students.

Ms. Shefaly Dutta shared the rich history of IBM and introduced the new collaborative programs, designed to give students a competitive edge in the IT industry. Her session ended with an interactive brainstorming activity that engaged students in the concepts discussed.
