The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science (FPS) at Assam down town University recently held an orientation program for its new batch of students across D. Pharm., B.Pharm., and M.Pharm. courses. The primary goal of the orientation was to acclimate students to their new environment, providing them with essential information and guidance to start their academic journey successfully.
The program featured a series of interactive sessions, including a meet-and-greet with the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of AdtU, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, the Head of Department (HOD), and various faculty members. A comprehensive presentation covered FPS’s history, faculty and student demographics, ongoing research projects, student achievements, notable alumni, and career opportunities.
Students received detailed information on examination and questioning patterns and gained a thorough overview of their subjects and syllabi. A departmental tour allowed students to explore the infrastructure, while a motivational talk aimed to inspire them to embrace the challenges ahead.
In addition to these sessions, the orientation included a city tour and a movie screening. The program also featured interactions with the Directorate of International Affairs (DIA), providing students with insights into international exposure opportunities. Workshops on Artificial Intelligence and Basic Life Support were also part of the orientation, offering valuable skills and knowledge beyond the academic curriculum.
