Artistic Expression Contest 2026 Promotes a Safe, Respectful and Ragging-Free Campus

The Artistic Expression Contest 2026 was organized by the Beethika Art Club, Assam down town University, in collaboration with the Anti-Ragging Committee, Assam down town University, in observance of Anti-Ragging Week 2026. 

The contest was conducted on the theme “United Against Ragging – Building a Safe and Respectful Campus”, with the objective of encouraging students to use art as a medium to promote awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and to inspire a culture of safety, dignity, mutual respect and inclusiveness on campus.

The event was was open to AdtU students, with chart paper provided to the participants and no registration fee. The event witnessed the participation of 18 students, primarily from programmes including Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Bachelor of Forensic Science (BSFS), B.Tech in Civil Engineering, and Bachelor of Design (B.Des).

A major highlight of the contest was the enthusiastic participation of students from different academic programmes, particularly the B.Des students, who brought their artistic skills and creative perspectives to the theme. Through their posters and artistic expressions, the participants conveyed powerful messages against ragging and highlighted the importance of creating a safe, respectful, supportive and welcoming campus environment.

The competition also offered the winners with certificate and attractive prizes, with Rs. 3,000 for the first prize, Rs. 2,000 for the second prize and Rs. 1,000 for the third prize, encouraging students to actively participate and showcase their creativity.
 
Overall, the Artistic Expression Contest 2026 successfully promoted the message of “United Against Ragging” and reinforced the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive campus community through meaningful artistic expression.
