Assam down town University organized an Alumni Interaction Session through the Alumni Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Commerce & Management, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. 

The session was hosted by Ms. Namrata Barua Student Apprentice of the Directorate of Alumni Affairs, who welcomed the audience and introduced the objective of the gathering. Dr. Samannoy Baruah, Director of Alumni Affairs, delivered the welcome address and felicitated the alumni guest Mr. Anil Thakur, currently serving as a Senior Executive in the North East Region under the Bombay Stock Exchange, with a traditional Fulaam Gamusa and a memento.

During the interaction, Mr. Thakur appreciated the new infrastructure of the university and expressed his admiration for the remarkable development Assam down town University has achieved over the years. He fondly recalled his days as a student and shared how those experiences played an important role in shaping his personal and professional journey. Encouraging students to enjoy their college life, he described it as one of the most valuable phases and advised them to make the best use of every opportunity available to them.

Sharing insights from his own journey, he mentioned that his confidence and interaction skills helped him secure offers from reputed companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Procter & Gamble. He further spoke about the growing importance of financial technology, highlighting opportunities in the capital market sector and sharing his seven years of experience in the field. The session concluded with an engaging interaction, leaving students inspired to build confidence, focus on personal development, and contribute positively to society.
