




Assam down town University hosted an Alumni Interaction Programme organised by the AdtU Alumni Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Science.
The program was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members Dr. Partha Pratim Kalita, Assistant Professor, Dr. Nayan Talukdar, M Sc. Ph.D. Talukdar, Associate Director, Alumni Affairs, and Ms. Gouri Acharjee, Executive, Directorate of Alumni Affairs. The Guest of Honour, Dr. Lekhika Pathak, was formally felicitated with a traditional Fulaam Gamusa and a memento as a mark of respect and appreciation.
Dr. Nayan Talukdar delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of alumni engagement in inspiring and guiding current students. Ms. Gouri Acharjee further felicitated the alumni guest, reinforcing the university’s tradition of honouring its achievers and strengthening alumni bonds.
During the interaction, Dr. Lekhika Pathak shared her inspiring life journey, tracing her path from being a student at Assam down town University to her current role as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and the Thoreau Laboratory for Global Health, USA. She reflected on how perseverance, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose shaped her academic journey, even during challenging phases. Dr. Pathak expressed heartfelt gratitude to her mentor for constant guidance and support, emphasizing the crucial role mentorship played in her success.
