Assam down town University organized an Alumni Interaction Program under the initiative of the AdtU Alumni Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Technology.
The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Aniruddha Deka, Hon’ble Dean, Faculty of Computer Technology; faculty members Ms. Namrata Das and Mr. Manabjyoti Choudhury, Assistant Professors; Dr. Samannoy Baruah, Director of Alumni Association; and Ms. Gouri Acharjee, Alumni Coordinator. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Pratik Dutta, an alumnus of the university and presently the Business Development Manager at Scabbard Tech, was felicitated with a traditional Fulaam Gamusa and a memento as a token of appreciation.
In his welcome address, Dr. Samannoy Baruah expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Dutta for sharing his journey and inspiring the students. Mr. Dutta began his talk by reflecting on his transition from being a student at Assam down town University to establishing himself in the professional world. He candidly spoke about his early struggles, uncertainties, and a failed project that, despite initial disappointment, became a turning point in his career.
Mr. Dutta highlighted the importance of developing practical skills alongside academic learning and encouraged students to seize every opportunity, through internships, projects, or self-learning to expand their knowledge base. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where students enthusiastically interacted with Mr. Dutta, seeking advice on career growth, handling rejections, and refining their skillsets.
Overall, the interaction proved to be a deeply inspiring and thought-provoking experience, encouraging students to view every challenge as an opportunity for growth and to embrace lifelong learning as the foundation of personal and professional success.
