Alumni Interaction Program inspires students through insights on engineering, innovation, and real-world experience

Assam down town University organized an Alumni Interaction Program under the initiative of the AdtU Alumni Association, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering.

The program was graced by the presence of esteemed professors from the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Biswajyoti Das, Dr. Samannoy Baruah (Director, Alumni Association), and Ms. Gouri Acharjee (Alumni Coordinator). The Guest of Honour, Mr. Debasish Sona, was felicitated with a traditional Fulaam Gamusa and a memento as a token of appreciation and respect.

Welcoming the guest, Dr. Samannoy Baruah emphasized the significance of such alumni interactions in inspiring current students and strengthening the connection between alumni and the university. He also extended gratitude to the faculty members for their continuous support in facilitating such meaningful engagements.

During the session, Mr. Debasish Sona shared his journey from his early education to his professional milestones, offering valuable insights into the real essence of engineering. He described engineering as not just a subject, but a discipline that nurtures logical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. He also drew attention to the difference between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, explaining that while books provide structured learning, real-life situations demand adaptability, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving. 

The session concluded with an engaging interaction between the speaker and students, leaving them motivated and better prepared to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the professional world.
