Assam down town University organized an engaging Alumni Interaction Program under the initiative of the AdtU Alumni Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Science.

The program was graced by the presence of esteemed professors from the Faculty of Science, Dr. Surjya Loying and Dr. Nayan Talukdar, M Sc. Ph.D., Associate Director of the Alumni Association, who formally felicitated the Guests of Honour, Ms. Shrutika Shrabarna Kataky and Mrs. Minakshi Devi, with a traditional Fulaam Gamusa and a memento, respectively, as a mark of respect and appreciation.

Dr. Nayan Talukdar, in his welcome speech, emphasized the significance of such alumni interactions in inspiring current students and strengthening their connection with their alma mater. 

During the session, Ms. Shrutika Shrabarna Kataky shared her inspiring journey as a student of Assam down town University and how her academic experiences shaped her career in the health sector. She reflected on the mentorship and opportunities she received during her university years, which gave her the confidence to step into professional life. She highlighted the immense scope of microbiology in the modern world, emphasizing its importance not only in academics and research but also in various industrial and healthcare applications. 

Following her, Mrs. Minakshi shared her enriching journey at Assam down town University, describing how the academic environment and exposure at the university laid a strong foundation for her career. Currently serving as a Biomedical Engineer at Coras Pratiksha Hospital, she spoke about the wide-ranging career opportunities available for students in biology. She explained that biology graduates can explore roles in industrial hospitals, research labs, diagnostics, biomedical equipment management, and healthcare administration, where their expertise ensures accurate testing, innovation, and the maintenance of healthcare standards.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion between the alumni and students, leaving the participants motivated, informed, and inspired to pursue their careers with confidence, curiosity, and a deep sense of purpose.
