Assam down town University, through the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Technology in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council under the Directorate of Innovation, Startup & Acceleration (DISA), successfully organized an Agri-Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Farming Innovation Ideathon.

The program commenced with the Master of Ceremony formally welcoming the judges, participants, and faculty members. Dr. Khem Bahadur Pun, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, delivered the Welcome Address, highlighting the growing importance of entrepreneurial thinking and innovation in the modern agricultural landscape. 

The Ideathon brought together enthusiastic students from various departments who presented innovative concepts focusing on sustainable farming practices, smart farming technologies, value addition, agri-startups, organic production systems, waste-to-wealth models, and digital agriculture solutions. The competition was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges including Dr. Khem Bahadur Pun, Dr. Sukamal Deb, Professor, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Robin Gogoi, OSD, Faculty of Sciences, Mr. Pranjal Kumar Sarmah, Associate Director, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, DISA, and Mr. Sanjeet Kumar Bora, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Technology.

The valedictory session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Tabuiliu Abonmai, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, followed by the announcement of results and the distribution of certificates and prize money to the winners. 

Overall, the Agri-Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Farming Innovation Ideathon proved to be a highly enriching and impactful initiative, inspiring young minds to think beyond conventional agriculture and embrace innovation and sustainability as the foundation for the future of farming.
