Assam down town University proudly hosted the Inter-University/College Football Tournament 2024 from November 28th to 30th at its Panikhaiti campus in Guwahati.

The tournament witnessed spirited competition among university teams, culminating in a thrilling final between AdtU and the Sports Academy of Sualkuchi. AdtU emerged victorious with an impressive 4-1 win, reaffirming its commitment to promoting sports and holistic development. Key accolades included Best Goalkeeper Zaheer Hussain (Sports Academy of Sualkuchi), Best Scorer Gobind Kino (AdtU), and Best Player Putu Deuri (AdtU).

The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Kulen Das, Sports Director of Cotton University, and Raj Hazarika, President of the Assam Taekwondo Association, Ranju Moni Das, President, All Assam Physical Education and Sports Educators Association, Uday Das, Treasurer, Assam Taekwondo Association and Rupak Baishya, Sports Journalist and Director, Sports Academy of Sualkuchi, whose inspiring words motivated the young athletes.

The event celebrated sportsmanship, teamwork, and the resilience of university athletes, underscoring AdtU’s dedication to nurturing talent and fostering excellence in sports.
