Assam down town University is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lakhimpur Medical College & Hospital, North Lakhimpur. 

Established under the Central Sector Scheme “Establishment of New Medical College attached with existing District/Referral Hospital” (Order No. HLB.254/2019/75 dated 30th May, 2020), Lakhimpur Medical College is affiliated with Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences and functions as a recognized tertiary care hospital and teaching institution with state-of-the-art clinical infrastructure, qualified faculty, and robust patient care facilities.

Representing Assam down town University during the signing was Mr. KIRANJEET BARMAN, Assistant Manager, Directorate of Career Advancement. Prof. (Dr.) Pranjal Tahbildar, Principal cum Chief Superintendent (MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics), and Dr. Gaurab Kr. Gogoi, Deputy Superintendent I/C, represented Lakhimpur Medical College & Hospital.

The execution of this MoU marks a significant milestone in fostering academic collaboration, particularly in the areas of clinical postings, observerships, and internships. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and clinical practice, offering students enriched exposure and hands-on learning opportunities.
