In a significant step toward bridging academia and industry, Assam down town University successfully hosted the biggest job fair in Northeast India, the 11th Annual Job Fair and 1st Internship Fair, drawing over 4,000+ enthusiastic job seekers and featuring more than 170+ national and multinational companies.

The Job Fair and The Internship Fair, organized by the Directorate of Career Advancement Cell, AdtU, drew a remarkable turnout of job seekers, including final-year students and young professionals with up to five years of experience. Many national and multinational companies participated, offering roles across healthcare, IT, education, manufacturing, consulting, retail, and services. Prominent recruiters included, Apollo Hospitals, HDFC ERGO, Amul, Piramal Swasthya, SBI Life, Adani Airport, Quess Corp, NH Group, Bharti Airtel, Indigai, DTDC Limited, Amrit Cement, and Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd, among others.

Throughout the day, candidates engaged in on-the-spot interviews, resume screenings, career counseling sessions, and HR interactions, gaining valuable insights into the recruitment ecosystem.

Running parallel to the Job Fair was AdtU’s first-ever Internship Fair, a pioneering initiative tailored for current students, marking a key implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The fair focused on early career exposure and practical learning core components of NEP’s holistic educational framework.

With enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines and institutions in the region, both fairs served as powerful career accelerators. Several students received on-the-spot job offers and internship confirmations, making the event a resounding success.
